  1. nice. i really like that pic

  2. Breathtaking. I have irises in the yard and my photos have never looked that good. You really are talented.

  3. I updated ‘Flowers 4’ and ‘bees/insects’ pages.

I was out early with a friend and saw those wild iris covered in dew and of course had to photograph them.

    Thank you both! 😉

  4. Lovely and an unusual take on an oft-photographed flower!

  5. Nice photo. one suggestion – trim from the top down to just barely remove the darker gap between petals just right of center at the top. That contrast difference draws your eye away from all the nice detail in the bottom. Doing so also leaves a very consistent blurred area as a background from the top right corner into and across the frame as detail increases in that direction.

  6. Thanks for the suggestion richard. When I go to crop photos I usually try all kinds of different crops and compare them side by side and choose the one I like best. I always do that with the understanding that some will not agree with my selection. My customers can order it cropped if they wish. 😉

I often prefer photos sometimes with several focal points. I know that’s not tradition, but I’ve never been much for tradition. I find that for me it can make a photo more interesting and give me several ways to look at it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

I’d love to see your work if you have a site. I don’t see a link. 🙂

  7. Are you selling a large print of the “Wild Purple Iris In Morning Dew?”
